Eskimo wristwarmers

Made these wristwarmers a while ago - but have started using them now!
They are knitted using Eskimo 100% wool, needle size 10mm. They are finished off with a needlebinded border, which makes them keep their shape.

Kids wristwarmers

I made these wrist-warmers for my daughters' friend's birthday the other week. They are both crocheted using merino wool. The size is about 2-4 years. My eldest loved them so will have to make her a pair to!

Light blue wrist-warmers with dark blue border

Light blue wrist-warmers made of Polar fleece. The border and flower are crocheted using dark blue alpaca wool.

White wrist-warmers with black hearts

These are also made of Polar fleece with wool hearts. The wool varies in thickness, which created quite a nice effect.

Red wrist-warmers with white hearts

The frost has definitely come to Aviemore now, so time for warm & snug wrist-warmers. These are made of red Polar fleece, tried not to make them too Christmasy - so it will be possible to wear them after Christmas to. The hearts are made of white wool.

Green & white wrist-warmers

These green and white wrist-warmers are crocheted using wool from Askeladden, which is a mix of merino wool and silk. The wool is untreated and very soft, but at the same time strong because of the silk. Maybe not as warm as the wrist-warmers made of fleece, but I hope they will look good with a black coat.

White wrist-warmers with pom-poms

A pair of white wrist-warmers made of Polar fleece. Decorated with black pom-poms. It is definitely getting colder now, so nice with a pair of warm & snug wrist-warmers to keep the draft out!

Black wrist-warmers with flowers and bead

Another pair of black wrist-warmers made from Polar fleece. The border and flowers have been crocheted using black alpaca wool. There is a light purple bead in the center of the flower.

Brown wrist-warmers with white flowers

A pair of wrist-warmers made of brown Polar fleece. The crocheted border and flowers are of merino and alpaca wool. There is a little brown bead in the middle of the flower.

Re-designed wrist-warmers

I've made these wrist-warmers out of a pair of arms from a wollen jumper. A second-hand shop in Norway was selling jumper off-cuts and I just had to get these as they were so thick and warm! Decorated with 3 black fluffy balls on each.

Selbu wrist-warmers 2

This is the rest of the pattern for the Selbu mittens, but again I stopped short and ended up with a pair of wristwarmers. This time though with a hole for the thumb.

Selbu wrist-warmers

Wrist-warmers in black and white merino wool. The pattern is traditional Norwegian, called Selbu. It is supposed to be a full mitten (with a more complicated pattern), but by just doing the border of the mitten you get some nice wrist-warmers!

NÃ¥lbinding

NÃ¥lbinding (needle-binding) is an ancient tradition, popular amongst the Vikings and up until the 1800′s when knitting took over. Took me a while to learn, but great fun when you get the hang of it! Here is a pair of brown wrist-warmers.
