Competition!

In May I entered a competition - The Amateur Creative Arts & Photography Awards. I sent in two photos of some of the dresses and wrist-warmers I have made.
I ended up being the runner-up in the Craft section! Really excited about it. Since I haven't been sewing for long this really makes me just want to do more and more! There was a nice award ceremony in Inverness where I was presented with a book by a local artist. Great fun!

Butterfly sun hat

Made this at the start of the summer, but I'm afraid it hasn't been used much as we haven't seen much of the sun. It is a bit too big so hopefully it will fit next summer! It is made from a curtain from Laura Ashley and lined with white cotton.
